“Core Stability Training”

posted on October 21st 2016 in Uncategorized with 0 Comments

“Core Training” is a hot buzz these days. The “core” is everything but arms and legs which makes up a large majority of muscle mass. The most effective way to strengthen the “core” is to strengthen the entire body. Choosing exercises that allow you to stress the most muscle mass over the largest possible range of motion is what we are after. The level of resistance needed to stress the body is relative to the individual and their level of training. We find that exercises like the squat, overhead press, deadlift and bench press allow us to train the most amount of mass possible with greater neurological response, more weight and effency and greater adaptation. If I may steal a paraphrased line from Coach Rip: A person with a high squat and deadlift and press weight does not have weak core. Check out this article to help with perspective.
